Forum on Education Abroad - 2025
Forum's Institute on Health, Safety, Security, and Risk Management (Virtual and Chicago, IL) 6/17 and 6/25-27
It's our very last conference of the season . . . and we're excited to have been selected as one of the three groups chosen for the very first Tabletop Drill Concurrent Sessions at the Forum's Health & Safety Institute!
"When Health Goes South": A Travel Health Drill in Brazil Thursday, June 26 from 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM CT
We'll be using part of WorldKind's new Graphic Novel "Life of Liz" as the basis for our drill exercise. Here's a teaser . . .
When Liz lands in Santarém, Brazil, her luggage with all her medication is missing! As the week unfolds, her anxiety mounts as compounding factors affect her entire group.
In this dynamic tabletop exercise, we’ll dive into the Amazons with a scenario that helps students build Health Advocacy Plans—roadmaps to staying safe, proactive, and prepared—while also training leaders to respond to health challenges abroad. Don’t miss out on these real-life scenarios with a dash of worst-case whimsy.
WorldKind is also partnering with Patty Sagasti Suppes (Stockton University) on a poster session entitled “Once Upon a Time: Storytelling & Scenario-based Risk Prevention.” Come and check us out there!
